A few common questions.
Can we keep our own company name and logo?
Yes. Your portal can carry your company logo and use your own domain. Haulage Desk’s public website stays separate from your operational portal.
Can drivers use it on their phones?
Yes. Drivers access the portal through their browser using their own account. Access is limited by their role.
Does the map track our trucks?
The current map shows job collection and delivery locations for active and awaiting jobs. Live vehicle tracking is a future integration, dependent on your tracking provider and its data access.
What traffic information is available?
An optional National Highways feed shows unplanned road and lane closures on England’s strategic road network. It requires your API access and can be switched off. It is not HGV navigation or a route-planning service.
Where does our system run?
Haulage Desk can be installed on a suitable Ubuntu server or Windows computer. We discuss hosting, access and backup arrangements with you before installation.
